WiselyRich

Ethics & Disclosure

Our commitment to honest, independent financial education — and a clear look at how this site stays that way.

Editorial independence

Our recommendations are not for sale. What we cover, what we recommend, and what we warn you about is decided by our editorial team based on what we honestly believe serves you — and nothing else.

Advertisers and affiliate partners do not get to dictate our coverage. They cannot buy a favorable review, pay to be mentioned in an article, or pressure us to soften criticism. If a product is mediocre, we'll say so, even if there's a commission attached to it. If a popular product isn't worth your money, we'll tell you that too.

The line is simple: business relationships pay for the lights to stay on, but they never decide what we publish.

How we make money

We believe you deserve to know how a site like this funds itself, because that's usually where bias creeps in. So here it is, plainly.

WiselyRich may be supported by affiliate links and, in some cases, display advertising. When you click certain links and sign up for or buy a product, we may earn a commission. Display ads, where present, pay us based on views or clicks. These are common ways independent publishers keep their content free to read.

Here's the part that matters most: this never changes our honest assessment. We write the article first, based on the facts and our genuine opinion, and only then consider whether a relevant partner link exists. The money follows the content — the content never follows the money.

Affiliate & advertising disclosure

Some of the links on WiselyRich are affiliate links. If you click one and then sign up for or purchase a product or service, we may earn a commission — at no extra cost to you. You pay the same price you would have paid otherwise; the partner simply shares a small portion of their revenue with us for the referral.

We want to be completely clear about what this does and doesn't mean:

  • It costs you nothing extra. An affiliate link never raises your price. In some cases it may even unlock a discount the partner offers.
  • It doesn't buy a recommendation. A commission is never the reason we mention a product. We include products because they're relevant and we believe they may help you.
  • You're never obligated. You can ignore every link on the site and still get the full value of our content for free.

Where a specific page contains affiliate links or paid placements, we aim to disclose it clearly on that page so you always know what you're reading.

Not financial advice

WiselyRich publishes financial education, not financial advice. Everything here is intended to help you learn how money works and think more clearly about your own decisions. It is general information, not a recommendation tailored to your personal situation.

We don't know your full financial picture — your income, debts, goals, tax situation, or risk tolerance — so we can't tell you what's right for you specifically. Before making meaningful decisions about investing, borrowing, taxes, insurance, or retirement, consider speaking with a licensed financial advisor, accountant, or other qualified professional who can account for your individual circumstances.

You are responsible for your own financial decisions, and any actions you take based on what you read here are taken at your own discretion.

Accuracy & corrections

We work hard to get things right. We check our facts, review our numbers, and try to explain ideas accurately. But we're human, and personal finance is a moving target — rules change, products update, and mistakes happen.

If you spot an error — a wrong figure, an outdated detail, a broken fact — please tell us. Email [email protected] with the article and what you believe is incorrect. We genuinely appreciate it.

When we confirm a mistake, we fix it. For significant corrections — ones that change the meaning or accuracy of what you read — we note the correction transparently rather than quietly editing it away. We'd rather show our work than pretend we never slipped.

Sourcing & research

When we use data, we try to draw it from reputable primary sources — original studies, official statistics, regulatory bodies, and the people or institutions closest to the facts — rather than repeating something we read somewhere else. Where it helps, we cite or link to those sources so you can check them yourself.

We also try to explain our reasoning rather than just hand you a conclusion. If we say a strategy tends to work, we want you to understand why, so you can judge whether it applies to you. Good financial education should make you a better thinker, not just a follower of rules.

When something is our opinion or interpretation rather than established fact, we'll try to make that distinction clear.

AI & content creation

We want to be honest about how our content is made. We sometimes use AI tools to help with parts of the process — for example, drafting, research support, or editing. We find them useful, and we don't think hiding that would be fair to you.

What matters is that a human is always responsible for what we publish. Every article is reviewed by a human editor for accuracy, clarity, and judgment before it goes live. AI assists; it does not get the final say. We don't publish unreviewed, automatically generated content and present it as carefully checked guidance.

Our standard is simple: whatever tools we use along the way, the words you read should be accurate, honest, and genuinely helpful — and a person stands behind them.
